About - Dimagico is a brilliant new addition to Bonhomme's stallion roster for 2017, bringing exciting bloodlines into the programme. He impresses with his three outstanding basic gaits, his especially supple, elastic and fluent movement combined with an always engaged hindleg, as well as high knee action and enormous freedom of shoulder. At his licensing he stood also out due to his incredible brain and temperament. At all times, this stallion presented a first-class walk right from the very first step. He is always in balance in all three paces. Furthermore, Dimagico passed his veterinary examination without a flaw.
Performance - He was awarded a premium in Hanover, where he was unmistakably the crowd favourite, and has since been licensed with Oldenburg. He passed his performance test in May 2017 with scores of 9.0 for character, conformation, walk, and willingness to perform, and a 9.25 for rideability.
Sire - Dimaggio was an outstanding sire and small tour stallion, who sadly passed away in 2015. As a young horse, he was World Champion of the five-year-olds in 2000, and he went on to collect many victories at prix st georges and intermediate I level. His offspring include Half Moon Delphi, part of the silver medal winning team at the 2014 World Equestrian Games, Woodlander Dornroschen, grand prix winner and shortlisted for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, international grand prix horse Headmore Delegate, licensed stallion Treliver Decanter, and junior and young rider stars Duela and Donna Summer. Woodlander Dornroschen also produced double World Young Horse Champion Woodlander Farouche, who has been a sport sensation and is unbeaten at international small tour level, and the two licensed stallions Freddie M and Franz Ferdinand.
Damline - Dimagico's damsire Jazz Time is a son of grand prix winner and legendary sire Jazz. Jazz himself performed at grand prix level with his rider Tineke Bartels, as did grandsire, Cocktail, and has 50 licensed sons, including Olivi, T-Movistar, Wynton, Westpoint, Boston, Chagall, Don Olymbrio, Don Juan De Hus, Desperado and First Choice. Almost 100 Jazz offspring have reached grand prix, and he is currently ranked fifth on the WBFSH Sire Rankings, having led the rankings for four years (2008-2011) and having never been out of the top five since the current rankings began; a more successful record than any other stallion. Jazz Time, who was one of Jazz's earliest foals, was third in the final of the Nürnberger Burg Trophy, and then celebrated many grand prix successes under Falk Rosenbauer, before he was sold to Denmark. Jazz Time was something of a breeding revolution due to the pairing of Dutch genes from Jazz with proven German blood lines such as Romadour II, sire of Double Olympic Champion Rembrandt.
