Detalhes
About - Cadeau Noir is a captivatingly beautiful horse, who is every inch a stallion. He is an impressive, large-framed stallion, with a huge neck and a very expressive face. He is a powerful, extravagant mover with an exceptional canter, and is particulary suited to smaller, compact mares.
Performance - He was reserve champion of the dressage section of his licensing, with scores up to 9.0 for his basic gaits, rideability, and canter. He then won several young horse classes, and qualified for the Bundeschampionat as a five-year-old.
Sire - Christ was third at his Hanoverian licensing and scored highly in his performance test, qualifying for the 2010 Bundeschampionat. He has since recorded success at every level, and is now campaigning at advanced in Germany. He is a dual-purpose sire, who scored well for jumping at his performance test and shows excellent technique over a fence. Christ's sire Competent had a short breeding career, but has two other licensed sons, Chatman and Cromwell. He is the sire of grand prix dressage horse Cappucino XIV, scoring +73%, event horse Corvette, 5th in the CIC2* at Strzegom, and several offspring jumping at 1.40m level. He has a reputation for versatility, finishing his stallion performance test in the top group for both dressage and jumping. His first offspring are demonstrating a particular aptitude for dressage - showing the prepotency of the Hannoverian G-line, with Gluckspilz, Graphit and Gotthard concentrated in his pedigree. Christ's damsire Picard was a very popular stallion in his breeding career, and stood Hanoverian champion. He sired 37 state premium daughters, and three grand prix jumping mares, and four licensed sons, including the grand prix stallion Pinot Grigio. His full sister produced three licensed stallions and two state premium mares, among them European young rider individual gold medallist, Lanthanid.
Damline - Damsire De Niro is currently regarded as one of the most successful, living dressage sires worldwide and top of the WBFSH sire rankings in 2016 for the fourth time. In Oldenburg he was I-a main premium winner, he successfully made his dressage Grand Prix debut at the age of seven, won the "Blue Band" at the German Derby in Hamburg as well as at the German Championship for professional riders twice. In 2008, he was proclaimed "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year", and has produced already more than 76 licensed sons in Germany alone. His offspring include Desperados FRH, D'Agostino, Dablino, Delgado, Danone I, Glock's Voice, Super Nova II, Der Designer, Dancier and Don Deluxe.
The breeding of his dam, state premium mare Delicia, is very interesting too. Here, De Niro on the paternal side meets Calypso II (by Cor de la Bryère) on the maternal side; adding the versatility that Cadeau Noir already inherits in spades from his sire Christ. The dam and two of her daughters, both full sisters of Cadeau Noir, were awarded premiums as a mare family at the Herwart-von-der-Decken Show in 2013. At the broodmare show in Uelzen, they again became Champion Mare Family, and the two-year old full sister of Cadeau Noir won several classes and was crowned overall Champion of the show.
Progeny - Cadeau Noir already has a licensed son, Colany C, who was awarded a premium at the ZfdP licensing. Cadeau Noir’s offspring are consistently characterised by a large frame, long legs, an energetic hind leg, correct mechanics and rhythm as well as a good type. He has stamped them all with his own beauty and expressiveness, his face and his masculine neck. Especially when bred to small, compact mares, the results have been fantastic. Cadeau Noir is homozygous black and will not produce chestnut foals; on a black mare he will produce a black foal. With his dual purpose background, he would be an interesting cross with blood mares for eventing.
